The leashes measure 152cm in length. Medium has a width of 2cm, while large has a width of 2.5cm.

The story behind it
Why I designed it
When the Elma harness became one of our most loved pieces, it felt natural to take it further. I wanted to create a matching leash that could live up to the same standards – not just in look, but in feel, comfort, and reliability.
A leash you could grab without thinking. Whether it’s a quick walk around the block or a weekend hike, it needed to feel just right – in your hand, on your dog, and in your life.
What it took to get it right
The carabiner was our starting point – it had to be secure, but also smooth to handle. We added a safety lock for extra peace of mind and used rust-resistant materials throughout, so it stays looking good and performing well over time.
The handle is softly padded for comfort, and the length (152 cm) strikes a balance between control and freedom. The leash comes in two widths to suit different dog sizes, and each version is finished in a tone that reflects our approach: calm, modern, and quietly confident.

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
